Silk’s Ecological Footprint

Our first collection is made from silk – considered to be one of the most sustainable fabric options available. The process of silk production, known as sericulture, is inherently low-impact and eco-friendly. Silkworms feed on mulberry leaves, a renewable resource that requires minimal water and pesticides. This sustainable cultivation ensures that our silk garments have a significantly lower environmental footprint compared to cotton or synthetic alternatives. Silk is also completely biodegradable, meaning that it won’t contribute to the ever-growing tonnes of landfill or ocean-bound waste.

Silk’s Longevity and High Quality

One of the standout features of silk is its incredible longevity. Silk fibres are among the strongest natural fibres, providing remarkable durability that withstands the test of time. Unlike fast-fashion fabrics that wear out quickly, our silk loungewear maintains its luxurious feel and appearance through countless wears. While using exclusively silk products is a great start, we have a long way to go. Ultimately, we’d like to become climate positive (meaning that we remove more carbon dioxide from the atmosphere than we emit) as soon as possible.
